Notes: Parish boundaries were revised in 1925 by Bishop Althoff thus allowing for formation of this parish. In 1958 the property expanded with the purchase of the Star Peerless Brewery property. The new church was finished in 1967.

Notes: Located midway between the original town of Belleville and East St. Louis. Bohemians settled this area called Briar Hill as early as 1860. Streetcars in the 1920s brought a more affluent population.
